Goodness, it sounds as though you're having quite the night! I'm frightfully sorry to hear it. I'd offer to help with the nightmares, but I'd likely only make them worse--my talent is to cause them, not relieve them, and even then not through a journal. Mmm, it does rather sound like a poison, doesn't it? It could probably be used as such, though I'm not sure how one would prepare it for that. I've drank the tea for decades though, and it's quite soothing. Hemlock is an alternative I've seen some use, though it's something of an acquired taste. Tastes a bit musky and bitter, but it certainly does gets the job done.
